Well today is election day, a day of hopes, and fears and mostly, for me, a feeling of responsibility as a citizen for where our country is heading. So this morning, while it was a chilly 44 degrees outside, I bundled up Lexsey, and headed to the poles at 6:55 am, so that we could be among the first to place our vote for Obama.
Lexsey of course, being a baby for OBAMA, wanted to place her vote too, but the pollsters said she would have to be 18 months old, so alas…she must wait.
But, the message was received- we need change, as much as she needs her diaper changed.
We then came home and played for awhile, Lexsey and I took a nice nap on the couch while we waited for Daddy to wake up and go to the polls too. When she woke up, we decided that it would be a wonderful breakfast to have some blueberry yogurt, which she promptly picked up and dumped all over
, and had an absolute blast playing with. I think I got the message that she wants solids, because she was holding her yogurt cup and drinking the yogurt that was left over out of it.
Time for more table food kid- message received.
After Daddy Charmley placed his vote for Obama too, we headed to lunch, and then to Lexsey’s 9 month doctors appointment. Her doctor loved her Obama button, and swore up and down to her she didn’t have to convince him to vote Obama with all of her babbling, he had already done so. LMAO. She weighed in at 17 lbs exactly (25%), and is 27 1/4 inches long (50%) with a head circ. of 45 1/2 cm. Her hemoglobin was 13.6, which is fantastic, a relief to me that she is doing great with her food intake. She got two shots, her last Polio and her 1st of 2 Flu shots. Poor kid. Right now she is resting.
Well we have had an eventful day. Momma is off to clean the house while little bumpkin naps, and then up late to watch for results. GO OBAMA!
